Our school is made up of two classes – Robins and Red Kites. Robins consists of Early Years and Key Stage 1 (Reception,Years 1 and 2), while Red Kites is home to Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6).
This mixed-age approach is one of the things that makes our school special.Having children of different ages learning together allows us to teach to stage, not age – meaning each child can be challenged at the right level for their ability, not just their year group. Older pupils develop confidence and leadership skills by supporting younger classmates, while younger children benefit from positive role models and often make rapid progress by joining in with more advanced learning.
Our small, nurturing environment helps children feel known, valued, and supported, and our teachers plan carefully to ensure that every child’s learning journey is personalised. This approach helps pupils to grow in independence and to achieve their very best.
