Visits and residentials
Trips and residential experiences are an important part of growing up. Whether it’s camping for the first time in KS1, marvelling at Hereford Cathedral, visiting places of worship or staying away from home at the Pioneer Centre, these adventures give children a sense of independence, resilience and excitement. They bring classroom learning to life and help your child build friendships and confidence.
Guest speakers and workshops
There’s nothing like hearing from an expert to make learning unforgettable. Your child might meet a faith leader, step back in time with a Roman workshop or explore history with a Toys Through Time session. These experiences inspire curiosity and deepen their understanding of the world around them
Community connections and fundraising
We want our children to know they can make a difference. From taking part in Remembrance Day services, to singing carols at a local care home, to baking cakes for Children in Need, pupils learn the value of kindness, generosity and being part of a community.
Culture and traditions
Our celebrations of harvest festival, nativity plays and Christingle services are highlights of the school year. They give children the chance to reflect, celebrate and come together as a whole school, fostering pride, gratitude and a sense of belonging.
Creative arts
Every child is an artist, performer or creator in their own way. Through dance groups, music performances and our exciting whole-school end-of-year production, pupils develop confidence, teamwork and a love of the arts – and parents get to enjoy seeing their children shine.
Sports
We believe sport should be fun, inclusive and inspiring. From multi-sports competitions with local schools, to the Cressage Football Cup and Shropshire Primary Games, your child will have many chances to discover their favourite activities, work as part of a team and celebrate achievement.
Theme days
Special theme days bring extra magic to the school week. Whether they’re dressing up for World Book Day, diving into stories on Roald Dahl Day or exploring a new topic through a special event, your child will enjoy learning in exciting and memorable ways.
Pupil leadership
We give children a real say in school life. As School Council members, Sports Ambassadors and more, pupils take on responsibilities, represent their peers and learn what it means to be a leader. It’s a wonderful way to develop confidence and pride in their school.
